This inner city suburb is known for its leafy green streets and even has a tree named after it — The Evergreen Alder or Toorak 'Gum Tree' Alnus — which is commonly found lining the suburb's nature strips and in front gardens. These trees need proper shaping and pruning to ensure they don't grow out of control.
